Help. Alcoholism. Mom or Dad. WHO TO LIVE WITH!!?

No one can tell you what to do. Can you live with each one of them at different times? You should not have to choose which one to live with. If you don't have a choice of sharing the time, then i would say stay with your mom and your dog. I know both of your parents love you but you have to make your own mind up. You talk about helping your mom, the only one who can help your mom is her. With her drinking problem, until she realizes she does have a problem she will not change. Maybe if you sit down and tell her you want her to get help. There are places she can go that are state funded but she needs to want help. You could tell her you are going to live with your dad until she gets help to stop drinking. It won't be easy but she has to realize if she doesn't get help she could die all alone, just her and the bottle. I'm sorry you have to deal with this all alone, Don't ever blame yourself for either of your parents problems. The only thing you owe your parents is to love and respect them if they are worthy of respect.
